Marla
Greetings! My passion for health and wellness has taken me on a journey from earning a B.A. in psychology to becoming a midwife and, in 2001, obtaining a certification in massage therapy. I’m a perpetual student of anatomy, kinesiology, and the interplay between emotional and physical health. I combine empirical knowledge and listening to my client’s body to guide me towards fulfilling their needs and enhancing wellness. A love of the outdoors drew me to Tahoe. Nature provides me with grounding peace and the excitement of exploration. You'll often find me hiking our amazing mountains, paddling the lake, skate skiing, and practicing yoga. It's an honor to work with Mountain Soulscape’s amazing clients and massage therapists.
Nate
Hello my name is Nate and I have been a massage therapist since 2015. I graduated from University of Arizona with a BS in Physiology and moved to Tahoe to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. My passions are skiing, mountain biking, wake surfing, yoga, making music and playing outside! After graduating from Bodi Tree Massage School in Carson City Nevada I started working at The Edgewood Spa in South Lake Tahoe. I gained a lot of experience including receiving a perfect score on my Forbes review. I specialize in deep tissue, cupping, lomi lomi and therapeutic massage. My style is relaxing, rejuvenating and very effective at a myofacial level. Individual self care is vital so I educate my clients with self massage techniques to help maintain health and well being. I love my job and I’m continuously learning new ways to perfect my massage techniques. I am excited to work with the incredible Tahoe community!
Kat
Hello! I am Kathryn. I recently moved to South Lake Tahoe from Denver where I completed my training at the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2019. Prior to massage, I attended nursing school in Boston when I decided to pursue a more integrative and holistic path in health care and go to massage school. My experiences in nursing school taught me that I love working with people one-on-one. I aim to calm your nervous system through breath and/or deep work, further releasing your muscle tension and resulting in you feeling thoroughly rejuvenated. Each session is customized to your needs that day. I specialize in detailed work to target the root cause and to meet your goals. Deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, and ashiatsu are some of the massage techniques I offer. Outside of massage, I love to rock climb, trail run, ski, sail, cook, sauna, yoga, and spend time with my cat. I’m so happy to be here working with the Tahoe crowd!
Bee
Hello, my name is Bee. I'm excited to be back in Tahoe, where I fell in love with exploring and adventuring during my time here in 2009. A major lesson I learned then was becoming aware of the power we have in our bodies ability to heal while learning and growing through movement! I received my training in Massage Therapy in the Midwest from Wellspring School of Allied Health. It's been a long, personal journey since those days, one that has provided many complementary interests and lessons. I believe in adding to my own recipe of wellness for both myself and my clients. My hobbies include: foraging, exploring, and creating. Tahoe is home and I'm so grateful for each person I've met here. I feel a sense of greatness and wonder in this place and am thrilled to add to it.
Marisa
As a child I was drawn to the Healing Arts. Health issues led me to see multiple doctors and physical therapy visits. I enjoyed searching for alternative therapies to create and maintain balance and health in my body-mind. At the age of 12 I was introduced to massage during physical therapy appointments and noticed how the massage helped my recovery, relaxed, and made me feel better. I found a massage book at a bookstore and began to study and give massages to anyone that let me. I loved the connection and how quickly it could alter a person’s attitude, pain level, mood, etc. After graduating college I went to massage school in 2010 to pursue my passion, and along the way studied herbalism, yoga, meditation, Mayan abdominal therapy, and Reiki. My style is very nurturing, intuitive, and healing. I look forward to connecting with you!
